At Silk Star, we are committed to ensuring you have the best experience while browsing and purchasing your favorite Indian and Pakistani outfits. We understand that despite our best efforts, there might be rare instances where you may need to return a product due to unforeseen circumstances.

What is your return policy for online orders?

  • Any issues with outfits must be reported to us within 7 days of receiving your order.

  • Items must be returned in their original packaging with all tags intact.

  • Products must be in unused and unworn condition.

  • Returns within the US are free for all eligible items.

  • For custom or standard stitched items (like blouses, lehengas, or salwar kameez), only the stitching fee is refundable—not the entire product.

Can I cancel my order if I change my mind?

Yes, cancellations are accepted if made within 12 hours of placing your order.
Please note: Orders marked as urgent cannot be canceled as processing begins immediately.

Why is there a 12-hour cancellation deadline?

Once your order is confirmed, our team immediately begins processing. Whether it’s selecting the outfit, stitching, customizing, or packing—most items move quickly through multiple stages. For made-to-order or customized garments, work often begins right away.

How to Return an Order

To initiate a return:

  • You will receive an email confirmation with return approval and detailed instructions.

  • Include this approval email in your return package.

  • Our domestic return address is in Fremont, CA.

How soon should I contact you?

  • For stitched outfits, report any issues within 48 hours of delivery.

  • For unstitched dresses and jewelry items, please reach out within 7 days of receiving the order.

What if I receive the wrong item?

If you've received an incorrect item:

  • We will investigate the issue with the courier service.

  • Once confirmed, a resolution will be provided promptly.

  • Standard shipping is free. If you paid an urgent delivery fee, it will be refunded once the correct item is delivered.
